Margaret Anderson Kiely, Margaret Anderson Kiely, 71, of South Hampton, N.H. and formerly of Fulton, died Sunday, Oct. 1, 2006 at her home surrounded by her family following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Kiely was born Feb. 23, 1935 in Fulton, the daughter of the late Willard A. and Margaret O'Neill Anderson. She was class valedictorian graduating from Fulton High School in 1952 and received her bachelor of science degree in speech from Northwestern University, Chicago, in 1956. She was also a member of the Chi Omega Sorority. Following graduation, she moved to New York City, where she pursued an acting and modeling career. In addition to a lead in an off-Broadway show, she toured the country with Roger Price, performing a successful night club comedy duo. She enjoyed traveling and had spent three months in Russia, working at the 1959 American Exhibition in Moscow. More recently, she appeared in commercials, television shows, and several films, including "The Verdict" and "Young Doctor's In Love." She had resided in South Hampton for the past 30 years, coming from Manhattan, and had wintered for many years in Naples, Fla. She was predeceased by her brother, Willard T. (Gail) Anderson, who died in 1996. Surviving are her husband of 34 years, Peter F. Kiely of South Hampton; a daughter, Megan E. Kiely of Lebanon, N.H.; a son, Patrick A. Kiely and his wife Heather of Denver, Colo.; three sisters, Betty (Bernard) Tofany of Rochester, Mary Lou (Sam) Mason of Homer, and Karen (Milo) Harrison of Fox Lake, Ill.; three brothers, Richard F. (Mary Alice) Anderson of Syracuse, John F. (Grace) Anderson of Pittsburg, Pa., and Neil E. (Susan) Anderson of Clifton Park; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. A funeral Mass was celebrated in St. Michael's Church, Exeter, N.H. Oct. 3. Burial was in St. John's Cemetery, Newport, NY.
