Margaret O’Neill Anderson

 

Mrs. Margaret O’Neill Anderson, 72 of 215 Fulton Ave., died Thursday (January 24, 1974) at Clearwater, Fla., following a short illness.  Mrs. Anderson and her husband, Willard A. Anderson, were spending the winter in Florida when she became ill.

 

Mrs. Anderson was a graduate of Syracuse University, Class of 1922 and formerly taught history and foreign languages at Ogdensburg High School.  She was a communicant of Holy Family Catholic Church and a member of its Altar Rosary Society.  She was also a member of the Lee Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and life member of the American Contract Bridge Association.  Her husband was former athletic director and coach at Fulton High School for many years until retirement.

 

Surviving besides her husband, Willard A. Anderson, are four daughters, Mrs. Bernard (Elizabeth) Tofany of Rochester; Mrs. Sam (Mary Lou) Mason of Homer; Mrs. Peter (Margaret) Kiely of New York City and Mrs. Milo (Karen) Harrison of Buffalo.  Also, four sons, Willard T. Anderson of Albany, Richard F. Anderson of Syracuse, John Anderson of Pittsburgh, Pa. and Neill Anderson of Albany; several grandchildren, a sister Mrs. Grace Given.
