Newport, Aug. 13

One of the prettiest weddings of the season took place at St. John’s Church Saturday, when Miss Margaret O’Neill, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. H. O’Neill, became the bride of Willard Anderson of Michigan.  The bride’s gown was of white canton crepe with Spanish lace and a white veil caught with orange blossoms.  She carried a bouquet of ophelia roses.  Her attendants were Miss Mary O’Neill, sister of the bride, maid of honor, and the bridesmaids were Miss Ella Graham of Frankfort and Miss Genevieve Clifford of Newport, cousins of the bride, and Miss Arlene McNally and Miss Emilyn Clark of Newport, her school friends.  Miss Catherine Graham of Frankfort and Miss Margaret Molineux, Newport, cousins of the bride, were flower girls and carried baskets of sweet peas.  Brady Thomas was ring bearer.

The best man was Edward Walsh of Syracuse, ushers were Walter Coughlin and Fred McCarthy, also of Syracuse and fraternity brothers of the groom, and  James Clifford and Mark McNally, Newport, cousins of the bride.

Miss Mildred E. Clifford at the organ rendered the Lohengrin bridal chorus and the Mendessohn march and sang “Oh Promise Me” and “I Love you Truly.”  Francis Spraker of Little Falls sang “Because” and “At Dawning.”  Vincent Griener of New York accompanied with the violin.

A wedding breakfast was served at the home of the bride to the immediate friends and relatives.  After which Mr. and Mr. Anderson left for Michigan to visit Mr. Anderson’s family.  The bride is a popular Newport girl and is a graduate of Syracuse.
