Richard Farrell Anderson May 1, 2010 Richard Farrell Anderson, of Syracuse, NY, passed away May 1, 2010, at the age of 78. He was a son of Willard August Anderson and Margaret O'Neill Anderson of Fulton, NY. Survived by his wife of 49 years, Mary Alice Driscoll Anderson; five children, Robert, Dick (Dottie), Julie, Bill (Susan) and Tom (Annie); and 14 grandchildren, Tom, Mike, Rich, Brian, Bobby, Katie, Michaela, Stephen, Jack, Annie, Alison, Claire, Dan and Ben. Surviving siblings and spouses include Mary Louise Anderson Mason (Dr. Sam) of Naples, FL, Karen Anderson Harrison (Milo) of Fox Lake, IL, John Francis Anderson (Grace) of Naples, FL, and Neill Edward Anderson (Susan) of Spring, TX. He was predeceased by his siblings, Elizabeth "Betty" Anderson Tofany of Rochester, NY, Willard Thomas Anderson of Saratoga Springs, NY, and Margaret Anderson Kiely of Southhampton, NH. Dick is survived by their spouses, Dr. Bernard E. Tofany, Gail Anderson and Peter Kiely, of the same addresses. Dick was a graduate of Fulton High School, Class of 1949, and proudly served our country as a Marine in Korea with the 10th Tank Battalion. He graduated from Syracuse University with a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering and was a member of the 1956 Cotton Bowl football team. He co-founded Vector Construction Corporation in 1963 and had served as chairman and CEO until present. Dick enjoyed golf, fishing, summers in Henderson Harbor and, most of all, spending time with his grandchildren.
