OSWEGO TOWN, NY - Richard J. Pratt, 63, of the Town of Oswego, died unexpectedly on September 8, 2006.

He was born December 15, 1942, to George and Jane Pratt of Fulton, N.Y.

He was a graduate of Fulton High School and C.C.B.I.

Dick was a shift superintendent at Nestles for 33 years, retiring in 1996.

He was a member of the Oswego West Baptist Church, serving on the board of trustees.

Richard (Dick) was a devoted husband to his wife, Lorraine (Thompson) for 43 years.

He was a loving father to his children, Richard (Lynne) Pratt, Ronald (Tanya) Pratt, Randall (Penny) Pratt, R. Jason (Terri) Pratt and Laurie (George) Krul.

He was an affectionate grandfather to Kerrie, Ryan, Tyler, Rebecca, Morgan, Connor, Cole, Kylie Pratt and Rachel Krul.

He will be deeply missed.

Richard is also survived by his siblings, Charles (Verna) Pratt of Liverpool, N.Y., Jean (Warren) Cusak of Deltona, Fla., Barry Pratt of Little Rock, Ark., Carol (Jim) Thurlow of Pensacola, Fla., Judy (Bruce) Bradt of Phoenix, N.Y., and Dawn (Roger) Pratt of Pensacola, Fla.

Dick touched many lives throughout the community.

He served as a councilman for the Town of Oswego, was a board president and coach on the Oswego Minor Hockey Association and a coach of men’s and women’s softball for many years.

Dick was the supervisor of the Rural Cemetery and a member of the American Legion and Elks Club.

Friends may call Sunday, September 10 from 2-4 p.m. and Monday, September 11, 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the Nelson Funeral Home, 11 W. Albany St. Oswego.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., Tuesday, September 12 at the Oswego West Baptist Church.
