Thomas
J. Bugow March 8, 2011 Thomas J. "Bear" Bugow, 68, of Fulton, died
Tuesday at home after a long battle with cancer. He was a 1960
graduate of Fulton High School and had attended Ottawa University in
Kansas and Ithaca College in Ithaca. Tom had worked at Rock-Tenn in
Solvay for eight years, International Paper in Oswego for 37 years
and in security at Oswego Speedway for 18 years. He was a member of
I.B.E.W. Local #43. Tom was a lay minister, board member and usher
at the Church of the Nazarene in Fulton. He loved the Lord and was
always available to listen to his fellow worshipers, co-workers,
family and friends. Tom enjoyed NASCAR, pro football, college
basketball, reading and was a longtime season ticket holder for SU
basketball and football. Tom was predeceased by a son, Thomas J.
Bugow Jr, mother, Hazel Rusaw Bugow, father, John "Bud" Bugow, and
sister, Ginny Fancette. Surviving are his wife of 13 years, Honey
Churchill Parkhurst-Bugow; daughters, Missy (John) Vickery of Scriba,
Christine (Rob) Rolfe, Susan (Louis) Palmer and Judy Pelo all of
Oswego; sons, John Bugow and Daniel Bugow both of Oswego and Michael
(Laurie) Parkhurst of Augusta, GA; grandchildren, Danielle Vickery,
Nikki Vickery, Taylor Vickery, Eric Pelo, Mitchell Pelo, Mackenzie
Palmer, Madison Palmer, Johnny Bugow, Tommy Rolfe, Ian Daniel Rolfe,
Ahnna Parkhurst and Sophia Parkhurst; two special brothers-in-law,
John Churchill of Fulton and Dick Churchill of SC; a very special
mother-in-law, Dorothy Churchill of Fulton; godson, Mitch Motyka;
Denise Shatrau, Mary Rain and Cindy Ho who were like daughters to
him and his beloved companions, Taz, Gigi and Little Bear. Services
will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at the Church of the Nazarene, 910
Utica Street, Fulton with spring burial at St. Mary's Cemetery in
Fulton. Calling hours are 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Foster Funeral Home,
910 Fay Street, Fulton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions
may be made to the Church of the Nazarene or Friends of Oswego
